Monument to the winemaker

The particular vocation of the hills around Bertinoro to the cultivation of the vine is known, and over the centuries generations of Bertinesi have dedicated themselves to it.

The bronze monument, by the sculptor Mario Bertozzi of Forlimpopoli, was erected in Largo Cairoli and inaugurated on September 5, 1976, the day of the Hospitality Festival, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the risen Colonna degli Anelli.

Every year, on the occasion of the Feast of Hospitality, the rite of the new winemaker takes place at the foot of this work and a parchment is given to a wine-grower who during the year undertook this activity for the first time or in a new way.
