Parish Church of San Pietro in Culto

Ancient Romanesque church, whose origin dates back to the IX century, due to its position on the ancient Roman road that connected Rimini with Tuscany, has always been a point of reference for travelers who passed and above all traded along the valley from the Marecchia and for all the countryside that was forming at the foot of the two important castles of Talamello and Majolo. He underwent several changes: in the following decades, the year One thousand was rebuilt like many other churches according to the new Roman technique; in 1929, the ecclesial body was almost completely demolished to rebuild the new church which, although recalling the Romanesque canons, was "turned" by 90 °. A part of the ancient apse and two rows of hanging arches are still visible, one in the bell tower and one in the attic.
