Mill of Ponte Vecchio

Before going up to the village of Frontino, on the right there is an ancient mill complex, which was at the service of the Castle and the area. Singular because gifted, unique in the Province, of watchtower and defense. Recently restored, it consists of many rooms and bottles for the water reserve. Two milling devices are active with old stone millstones and related equipment, powered by electricity. In another room there is an ancient water-powered milling plant, as in the tradition, for educational purposes. A series of 21 panels illustrate the history of bread and art of milling, which transformed wheat into flour. Also used as a food delivery structure.
