The Parish Church, dedicated to the patrons of Lunano the Saints Cosmas and Damian, celebrated on September 26th. Church erected with three naves, together with the high and agile bell tower, in 1889, in Corinthian style, designed by the architect Domenico Giampaoli of Peglio. The arm of the church, which until 1964 was still in the rough, closed to worship and used as a warehouse, was used by the parish priest Don Luca Pasquini to build a cave in honor of Our Lady of Lourdes. Detta Grotta, formed with limestone carved personally by Don Pasquini and others
willing Lunanesi near Bocca Trabaria and Badia Tedalda, was built by the same parish priest with the disinterested help of Mr. Biagi Luigi di Lunano on September 19, 1965, the Grotto was solemnly blessed by Cardinal Giovanni Urbani, Patriarch of Venice and President of the CEI, present at the ceremony were the Bishop of Concordia-Pordenone, Mons. Vittorio De Zanche, the diocesan Bishop, Mons. Antonio Bergamaschi. On the same date it was then opened to worship and there was placed a wooden statue of the Madonna, by the sculptor A. Mussner of Ortisei. This statue is a gift from the parish priest's family and from the bishop and blessed in the Grotto of Miracles by Monsignor Bergamaschi himself. In the following year, the Women of Catholic Action of Lunano commissioned the statue of St. Bernadetta to the aforementioned sculptor.
