Viviani House

The corner of Via dei Vasari, between this street and the road of the walls, is almost entirely occupied by Casa Viviani where Antonio Viviani, known as il Sordo (1560 - 1626), was born one of the most loyal followers and popularizers of Barocci, together with the modest brother Ludovico (died in 1649).
The building, with its considerable original extension certainly the result of a sixteenth-century arrangement, has a certain grandeur. Il Dolci (1775) recalls in the Casa Viviani some paintings and "many drawings". Currently it houses the headquarters of the Raffaello Academy.
