Urban Park Franco Agosto

The urban park 'Franco Agosto' of Forlì is a unique green area, located in the urban fabric immediately behind the old city walls of the historic center. The area covers an area of 26 hectares bounded by the Montone river. It is adjacent to another large green area surrounding the Pierantoni hospital, constituting with it an unicum of equipped vegetation. Everything has been studied in detail: from the type of plants to their planting, from the path of the paths to the placement of the benches, from the morphology of the ground to the dense underground network for irrigation and all the service channels. The internal paths, populated by numerous free rabbits, and the circular path that surrounds the park on the side of the river Montone, are frequented by the Forlì, both by bike and by jogging. The area has a pond with geese and ducks in the open, a sports center with basketball courts, soccer, beach volleyball, bowls and a riding school. In addition, spaces equipped for children with inflatable castles and other games, life path and refreshment points (bars, kiosk and piadina pub pizzeria) enrich the offer of the park forlì.
