Sandro Colarieti House Museum

Archaeological Museum. Guardian of the memory of the place, is the "Sandro Colarieti" Museum-museum - "Uguccione della Faggiola" archaeological museum: here were collected with wise dedication and meticulousness, archaeological evidence to tell the story of this land not far from the Marecchia springs and of the Tiber, a ridge area that in the Roman age saw the growth of municipalities in Sarsina (in the Savio valley) and Sestinum (in the Foglia valley). The objects confirm a frequentation of the mountain territory already in prehistoric times: since the Paleolithic period man has left traces of its presence in the chipped stones and arrowheads, signs of the hunting activity.
