Ponte alla Piera

It is a typical Apennine village with stone houses, located on the slopes of Alpe di Catenaia on the edge of chestnut groves and ancient woods. Very interesting is the medieval stone bridge that connects the two parts of the small village, which develops along the course of the Cerfone stream. The name of the town perhaps derives from this artifact, one of the few built in stone, evidence of an important road system that has affected the area over the centuries.
