The "Pino"

Commonly called Pino, it is actually a Greek Fir. Dated 1957, right in the period of post-war reconstruction, it is now the undisputed symbol of the country, thanks to its record height of 30 meters, which makes it the largest Christmas tree in the province every year, with 40,000 light spots distributed over 500 meters of cables.
Symbol of Borgo Pace, is located in the middle of the main square, dedicated to him, Piazza del Pino, where the life of the village comes alive. Here the Red Potato Festival takes place, or the Mercatino under the tree (who knows what tree ...). It represents a motive of pride and hope, having been planted in the middle of nowhere, for the bombardments of the Liberation period that destroyed everything that was present in the Piazza: it grew from there, at the moment of rebirth, and is the most evident.
