Pieve di San Cassiano

Pieve di San Cassiano
Not far from the town, where in ancient times the Roman city of Pitinum Pisaurense was located, in the direction of Carpegna, stands the ancient parish church of San Cassiano, dating back to the X-XI century, built largely with Roman material. Inside San Cassiano, which amazes for its bare and simple sobriety, in addition to the remains of a Roman road stretch visible through the crystals on the floor, you can admire a refined fifteenth-century sculpture, attributed to the Tuscan Tommaso Fiamberti, depicting Saint Sebastian.
