Pianacquadio beech forest
The Pianacquadio wood is the last important part of that huge beech wood that once covered the summit of Monte Carpegna. It is a unique wood in central Italy made up of beeches from centuries old also from specimens of maple, maple, Neapolitan maple, maple, linden and mountain ash. In the shrubbery we can see the montana fusaggine, the alpine laburnum, the hazelnut, the hawthorn, the volpino cherry tree.
