Palazzo Taglieschi

The construction is the result of the Renaissance union of several medieval tower houses commissioned by Matteo Cane, captain of fortune and ambassador of the Community. In the corner between Piazza Mameli and Via Garibaldi it is still possible to see the presence of the previous buildings. The main entrance of the Palace is the sixteenth-century portal with the coat of arms of the Taglieschi family in the key of volt. A large fresco depicting the Virgin and Child can be seen on the façade, to the right of the entrance.
