Palazzo delle Laudi
Walking through the historic center, it is impossible not to be struck by the beauty and uniqueness of the Palazzo delle Laudi. Currently home to the municipal offices, it is a typically 16th century building. The name derives from the company that ordered its construction, the Confraternity of Laudi (also called "della Notte"), which commissioned the work to the architect Alberto Alberti around 1592. At his death in 1596 another important architect took over : Antonio Cantagallina. The particularity of the building resides above all in the large loggia located at the front. In the past, thanks to the large size, the city market also took place under the loggias and today, the day continues to present itself as the ideal location for many events and cultural events in the city, together with the welcoming internal cloister.
