Oratory of Santa Marina
A clear example of Romanesque structure, whose construction dates back to 1191, presents a particular harmonious proportions. Poised on a rock spur and accessible via a steep flight of steps, it seems almost built in a single block of stone. It is characterized by a perfect squaring of the sandstones of which it is composed, an internal vaulted ceiling and small windows in all its sides that illuminate at any time the small altar, also in stone, which has kept for centuries what seem to have been the relics of Santa Marina. The façade has a nineteenth-century elevation that has allowed the insertion of a clock and the construction of a bell gable. The entrance gate, the grating of the urn and the two column lamps placed on the sides of the altar are the 1953 works of the wrought iron craftsman Carlo Venerucci.
