Museum of Palazzo Taglieschi

In the atmosphere of a Renaissance palace on four levels, precious examples of art and history in Valtiberina are preserved. On the ground floor are collected ancient architectural fragments and detached three-fifteenth-century frescoes, which document the importance of the Marian cult in Valtiberina. The rooms on the main floor retain the masterpiece of the museum, the Madonna and Child by Jacopo della Quercia (1420 ca.). In the old kitchens are collected objects of daily life and popular religiosity, such as the collection of dressed Madonna.
