Museum - Gualtieri Gallery "The Splendor of the Real"
It brings together more than forty works donated to the Municipality between 2000 and 2005 by Fernando Gualtieri, an internationally renowned artist of Talamellian origins, appreciated not only in Europe and America, but also in China and Japan.
Recognized by critics as the Master of the Splendor of the Real, Gualtieri "... brings us a beautiful and radiant surprise, dedicates his art to paint all the objects: still life, portraits, compositions ..." according to the words by Georges Duhamel of the French Academy. Characterized by his very personal and suggestive style, he is an unusual catalyst of light, he paints the visible and the invisible, the real and the unreal, in a cascade of colors and light.
The works on display in the museum are oils on canvas, both small and large, such as The Last Roar (200 x 400 cm), Persian Brocade still life or the Crystal Symphony paintings, The game of death and Una sera da Lasserre; there are also oil and pencil portraits, including a self-portrait of the artist, and Sicilian, Canadian, and Parisian landscapes.
