Museum of the Christa Line
In October 1944 German soldiers temporarily halted the advance of the Allied troops on the Christa Line, a series of cornerstones and strategic points along the Rubicone river. In the museum are exposed war materials used by the armies that fought on the hills of Sogliano and surrounding territories. The photographic section documents the visit to Sogliano by Benito Mussolini, the arrival of the allies and the consequences of the war. To make the idea of what was happening during the Allied air raid more realistic, an anti-aircraft shelter was reconstructed in a cave in the basement of the building. Among the most interesting exhibits, we would like to mention: a mannequin of a British Army Eighth Mannequin, a German Alpine mannequin, the engine of an American P40 plane, the remains of a German Junker plane and a diary of '44 written by a soglianese.
