Museum of Arte Povera
The Museum of Arte Povera is unique in Italy; collects ancient volumes of great value, advertising cards and greeting cards of the nineteenth century, historical maps and artistic works created with paper. Widespread especially in the mid-nineteenth and mid-twentieth century, the so-called "poor papers" were characterized by a captivating aesthetic beauty and an effective combination of image and word that served to create a desire for consumption, constituting one of the first forms of advertising. In the museum you can admire ancient prints from the East, small paper cribs, the "lucky planets" with lot numbers, calendars of the barbers and old postcards. Very interesting and high historical value is the bibliographic department of facsimiles. These are reproductions of illuminated manuscripts from all over the world obtained with the most modern techniques.
