Montegelli

Montegelli is known as the village of ancient flavors: in spring you walk among colorful expanses of medicinal herbs; in the fall you can taste delicious typical products, such as savòr, saba, mastlaz, jams of elder, figs and tomatoes. The Parish Church of S. Stefano in Murulo, in Romanesque style, preserves works of considerable artistic value: a baptismal stone bath in Istria, a painting depicting the "Martyrdom of St. Stephen" and the Gotta di Lourdes, a faithful reconstruction of the 'original. The clock tower is embellished with a valuable 15th century bell. We also recommend visiting the "House of memories" and the "Room of the frame", small exhibits of objects from the past.
