Mainardi Palace

The imposing building, although altered over the centuries, stands on the ancient houses of the Mainardi family, testifying to the influence and authority that the family had reached in Bertinoro during the Middle Ages. Among the most important personages of the family are Arrigo Mainardi, bitterly regretting from Guido del Duca in the XIV song of Purgatory, and Ricciardo, protagonist of a novella of the Decameron. The coat of arms of the three-handed family still stands on its façade.
