Lake Andreuccio

Following the road that leads from Maciano to Soanne, in an oasis of serenity immersed in the greenery of oaks, ash trees, hornbeam and willows is located the lake of Andreuccio so named because according to a romantic legend he found his death, in the year 1300, the shepherd Andreuccio, killed by the soldiers of the prince Evaristo whose daughter, Elisabetta, had fallen in love. The princess looked for him and called him in vain for days until he found death in the same lake. The lake surrounded by weeping willows offers a wonderful glance. It offers countless possibilities: trekking, picnics and sport fishing managed by the Pescatori Marecchia Society.
