The journey of St. Francis

The journey of St. Francis links the Franciscan hermitage which is located in Chiusi della Verna with Assisi. Part of this route also crosses the territory of the town of Sansepolcro where there is one of the main Franciscan places: the hermitage of Montecasale. The route is full of spirituality and silence and winds through woods and paths of the Central Apennines and the Alpe della Luna Nature Reserve and then continue to nearby Umbria, after stopping in the town of Sansepolcro.
