Furlo State Natural Reserve

An authentic paradise, crossed by the Candigliano river that winds between the imposing rock walls of the Gorge, where the suggestion of the landscape is combined with a prodigious naturalistic richness that boasts specimens of truly unique flora and fauna. Just think of the golden eagle, the peregrine falcon, the eagle owl, the woodpecker, the mountain swallow, the greater swallow and the coral chough. And then there are wolves, roe deer, fallow deer, wild boar. The vegetation that covers the tops of the massif consists mainly of oak woods with oak, hornbeam, flowering ash, maple and rowan. The fluvial and riparian habitats are also varied, as is the abundant life in the forests, pastures and bushes.
