Former head office of the Italian Youth of the Littorio

Primary tabs

Former head office of the Italian Youth of the Littorio

The building included three main groups connected to each other, including the gym, the theater and the swimming pool. The entire complex was built thanks to the substantial contributions of the Opera Balilla Presidency, the Province and the Municipality of Forlì, the Forlì Farmers' Federation and the local Cassa di Risparmio. According to the project by Cesare Valle, the chromatic research is played on the contrast between the white travertine of the base and the dark red color of the plaster covering the whole façade on the avenue. In 1941 the north and south bodies were raised one floor. The tower, 30 meters high, housed the votive chapel dedicated to the memory of Arnaldo Mussolini and bore the heroic formula of the fascist oath of the young people of GIL. After a long restoration the building has been reopened to the public.
