Former Episcopal Seminary

Seat of the Episcopal Seminary of Bertinoro from 1817 to 1972, it was built at the beginning of the century. XVIII to house the Benedictine nuns of Corpus Domini.

Surrounded by high walls made of bricks and stone fragments, the building develops from an internal courtyard that still preserves the eighteenth-century cloister. And from the cloister leads to a large terraced park surrounded by walls, one side of which is part of the ancient defensive walls of Bertinoro. The main entrance is surmounted by the terracotta statue dedicated to the Madonna del Lago, attributable to the Sasselli workshop.

Inside are also preserved the ancient cellars built in masonry at the beginning of the century. XVII.
