"Built in front of the Church of San Domenico, its origins date back to about 580 BC It was brought to Rome in 90 AD, having first been placed in the Egyptian capital of the Sais period, in the Delta, Campo Marzio. It was demolished by Theodosius for the abolition of pagan cults in 391 AD, and then forgotten for over a millennium, until in 1737, when the cult of archaeological finds flourished, Cardinal Albani did not exhume it to donate it to Urbino with the five reconstructed blocks.
