Church of San Francesco

The church of San Francesco, with its adjoining convent, was erected in the fourteenth century. The ecclesiastical building housed important works of art, now partly kept in the churches of Santa Chiara and San Michele Arcangelo of Macerata Feltria and partly "migrated" to Urbino and today admired by a large number of tourists in the halls of the Palazzo Ducale and the birthplace of Raphael.
