Church of Saints Nicolò and Francesco

Dating back to the thirteenth century, it was originally a Franciscan church and convent. The current building dates back to 1398. It underwent radical interventions in the sixteenth and twentieth centuries, when the Romanesque style with exposed blocks was restored to the façade. The building preserves valuable works of art including the polychrome stucco bas-relief called "Madonna dei Fiori", venerated as protector of Castrocaro, which is a contemporary replica of the "Madonna Pazzi" by Donatello and a sandstone pulpit dated 1533. the other masterpieces here preserved stand out, in the apse, the "Blessed Virgin with Saints Augustine and Anthony", painted in 1500 by the forlì Marco Palmezzano, a pupil of Melozzo.
