Cemetery of San Cassiano

The small country cemetery where Mussolini's mother was buried was the subject of a complex expansion project commissioned by the Duce. He had in fact intended to build a family where he would gather the corpses of his parents (his father was buried in Forlì), wanting to give a monumental aspect to the place, already an incessant destination for visits. The expansion of the cemetery was organized through the construction of a portico, set on a quadrangular system. (Provincial Road Del Rabbi - project by F. Di Fausto and Cesare Bazzani, 1928-1933).
