National Gallery Nazionale of Marche-Palazzo Ducale

In the second half of the 14th century, Urbino became a medieval village in a Renaissance city by Duke Federico da Montefeltro. In the center, the duke erected the palace, not just a symbol of the Lord's military power, but also of his liberality and culture. Noteworthy is the beautiful courtyard, one of the greatest examples of Renaissance architecture. Federico was the patron saint of the most refined and, together with his wife, Battista Sforza gave his court some of the most famous artists of the era: Donato Bramante, Paolo Uccello, Leon Battista Alberti, Luciano Laurana, Francesco di Giorgio Martini, Piero Francesca and the Flemish Giusto of Ghent. The gallery was established inside the Doge's Palace in 1912. The last set up in 1982 was cared for to create a harmony between the works exhibited and the rooms that contain them. Some of the most enigmatic works of Piero della Francesca, the Flagellazione di Cristo and the Madonna of Senigallia are two of the most memorable masterpieces of the art history here. the Communion of the  Apostles by Giusto of Gent; the Miracle of the Ostia Profanata by Paolo Uccello; the sublime Muta by Raffaello.
