Palazzo Lombardini

Throughout the 1800s and the early 1900s, the town of Mercatino Marecchia experienced its strongest and most noteworthy development not only in terms of urban planning, but also and above all socially: the opening of Via Mazzini is in fact a new axis of development for the building industry. bourgeois and this palace, built between 1887 and 1904, represents in all respects a model. Commissioned by the wealthy Lombardini family to the architect Giuseppe Botticelli Saints between the 19th and 20th centuries, this imposing and elegant building originally had a massive Guelph battlements (later demolished) and rich interior furnishings. The railings of the windows made by Maestro Guglielmo Fabbrini are worth mentioning. The Palace became a municipal property in 1949, but as early as 1934 it was the seat of the Royal Professional Start-up School. Palazzo Lombardini today houses the "Voci nel Montefeltro" Lyric Academy.
