Palazzo Cappelli - Secchiano

The fraction of Secchiano shows along the axis of the road, the characters of an economy of a noble type already visible in the organization of the landscape (paths, gardens, fences ...) and especially in an extraordinary flowering of manor houses and real houses holiday. Among these we must mention Palazzo Cappelli, a municipal property from the 60s. The original structure dates back to the last decades of the 1800s, when the building then became the property of Piero Pirazzoli (Director of the Perticara mine) and took on a new physiognomy. The changes that involve the elevation from 2 to 4 floors, the increase in living space from 9 to 25 rooms and the embellishment of ceilings with valuable frescoes, are not dictated by residential needs, but rather of entertainment and representation as confirmed by an assessment cadastral survey of 1895 which records the building as a "holiday resort". From the twenties to the sixties, the building will belong to a well-known surgeon from Ancona, dott. Cappelli Lorenzo to which the denomination is still linked.
