The castle of Cusercoli

The complex, in spite of the evident signs of degradation has been consolidated in recent years, emanates its extraordinary charm, both for the signs of the ancient pomp and for its particular position of domination in the surrounding area. Between the middle and the end of the 18th century the castle underwent profound changes to meet the demands of the lords of the time. It was refurbished, there were added hanging gardens and a new church. Its decadence began in the last century to reach a total state of degradation. Inside, there are the formations of the '600 that represent the Via Crucis and on the outside there is a hanging garden. Inside the Castle, owned by the Conti Guidi di Bagno, there are the furnishings of the Montebello Castle, of the same owners and famous for the ghost of Azzurrina.
