Sogliano al Rubicone lies on gentle hills surrounded by rivers Uso, Rubicone and Savio, in the province of Forlì Cesena. The country is rich in history and traditions, art and culture. The former home of the Fascio and the Fontana delle Farfalle, designed by Tonino Guerra, are located in the main square. Going down towards Piazza Mazzini you can see the Teatro Comunale "Elisabetta Turroni" and the Chiesa del Suffragio, next to which is the Civic Tower. Continuing along Via Cavour, you reach the Church of San Lorenzo Martire. Going back to Piazza Mazzini you arrive at Piazza della Repubblica where Palazzo Mariani and Palazzo David are located. Continuing towards Piazzetta Garibaldi you reach Palazzo Marcosanti-Ripa, which hosts five permanent exhibitions. The ice-house was a basement building, where food was stored that needed the conservative action of the ice.
