Conference: painter Alessandro Bianchini
A study conference on the figure of the Perugian painter Alessandro Bianchini who decorated in 1922 the internal apse of the Church of Santa Maria Assunta (X century) of Casacastalda, whose current structure dates back to 1883, with a square stone bell tower. In the right aisle, there is the "Triptych" of the painter Matteo da Gualdo. The baptismal font is characterized by a bell dated 1508. The polychrome windows, recently installed, depict numerous devotional images. The program of the conference includes interventions on the following themes: 20th century religious art in the Perugian territory; Alessandro Bianchini Painter from Perugia; the apse of the Church of Casacastalda is a theatrical space; the parish church of Pieve di Compresseto; Organ concert.
