Structure of great economic importance and interesting example of industrial archeology. Probably built by the Fabriano people. The foundation date is uncertain but it is known of its existence since 1300. In 1434 the paper mill was leased from Guidantonio da Montefeltro to Antonio di Venanzo from Fossombrone at a very high price. The establishment produced paper uninterruptedly for almost half a millennium, both fine paper and foil paper.
