Umbria film festival

One wonders looking up at the town of Montone before reaching it, and since 1997, in the second week of July, the cinema festival brings astonishment. Children's entertainment courses, side events, spaces for young people and meetings with the stars of international cinema.

In the medieval village of Montone there are no cars in the streets and it has become a point of reference for a quality event, a union of inspiration for moments to discover the territory. So much so that the Keys of the City are given to famous actors and directors: the festival is not a competition, but is a gesture of recognition and trust.

The party takes place in locations such as Piazza Fortebraccio, The Church of St. Francis, the San Fedele Theatre and the San Fedele Auditorium.  The festival is also characterised by initiatives and events that are relevant to the theme of cinema, events such as round tables, seminars, exhibitions, concerts, theatre and masterclasses.

The perfect essence of the union with the territory is represented by the logo of the Festival created by Terry Gilliam.  The logo portrays Battista Sforza by Piero della Francesca with a movie camera. An impeccable combination.
