An Active territory ready to be discovered

A territory to travel accompanied by ancient echoes in a modern activity holiday. Part of this area is located within the “Cammino di San Vicinio” region,  a route of fourteen different stages and spanning fourteen hundred miles between Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany. The ninth leg of the journey includes Sogliano al Rubicone and Borghi. The route is circular and uses the two locations as stop-offs offering the opportunity to visit the nearby areas.

The route , inserted into the network of the Europe footpaths, is inspired by the figure of San Vicinio, a saint, whose figure is characterised by an iron chain: "The iron chain of S. Vicinio, which still exists today, and that is still in use today, is put around the neck of the church goers.  It is believed, that the chain was used by the saint to mark the flesh of the believers who wore the chain, this in turn tormented the demons within them and eventually exorcised the faithful.

The walk is also an opportunity for some great cycling in this area, either mountain biking or racing which enthusiasts can enjoy the great satisfaction of completing the famous Nine Hills (Nove Colli).

The area offers the opportunity to try all the activities of life by the sea for everyone. Including family and friends who can enjoy the many water and sea parks along the coast - amongst which a notable circular swimming pool and water slide in Cesenatico.
