Feast of Saint Anthony in Isola Fossara

The Festa di Sant'Antonio is celebrated on 13th June in Isola Fossara, a hamlet of the municipality of Scheggia. Preparations for the party start at the end of May, when a tree is cut down in the Monti del Catria and brought to the town square. This symbol is raised only on the day of the feast and set up. There are also food stands dedicated to snails, local specialties, and activities for young and old.
