Bruschetta

In the frame of the medieval village of Monterone (thirteenth century, in the town of Sestino Arezzo, the last strip in Tuscany on the border with the Marche, territory owned by the Dukes of Urbino until the early decades of the '500), takes place on the evening of August 14, the traditional bruschetta.
The festival preserves the spirit of the past, able to accommodate adults and children, groups of children and families.
From 19 onwards, the food stands will open and you can taste the local specialties (beans and pork sausages cooked on the grill and of course the bruschetta accompanied by excellent wine). The stands will be open until late hours.
The evening proceeds with the traditional dance in the square with orchestra. For the alleys of the village, even before the sun sets, (from 18.30 the possibility of aperitifs) will open wineries and taverns, each with its own menu and its own musical corner where you can dance, sing, have fun. The former sports field for camping is a few minutes walk from the center of the village.
Organized by the Monterone association, this year the museum of peasant culture "oil cellar" is opened, where over the visit you can buy typical local products. The Festival is organized by the Monterone association and realized thanks to the collaboration of the monteronesi and those who return to Monterone for the holidays.
