Church of Santa Maria della Torre
"It is the church of the Augustinian nuns whose monastery was founded in 1320. The name derives from the ancient tower on which it is built, perhaps belonging to the medieval wall, the apse, as can be seen from the back, from the extension of the oldest base of the cone trunk. The small brick facade is distinguished by the classic Furlo stone portal, dating back to the early sixteenth century, and the quadrangular inner hall, covered with barrel vault, is similar to others (Santa Caterina, San Sergio) renovated in the Baroque period, not without the sacrifice of early art testimonials (eg an Annunciation of Timoteo Viti, now in Palazzo Ducale) .The intervention of the seventeenth century is nothing but the oval canvas depicting the Assumption in the center of the vault.
The Church of Santa Maria della Torre is located in Via Budassi, in front of a graded subway - similar to others like the vault of Death or the Cassero tour. "
