National Exhibition of Chianina beef

At Ponte Presale, a fraction of the municipality of Sestino (AR), in a context of rare beauty immersed in the Apennines, this year also a ritual appointment with the national exhibition of Chianina cattle breedings.
The three-day event takes place at the "S. Datti ", center where the newly elected mayor of Sestino, sig. Elbo Donati, believes a lot to implement a strong revival of the agricultural policies of the hinterland. The organization of the event was organized by dell'Apaar (Arezzo provincial association of breeders of Arezzo) and Anabic (national association of Italian beef cattle breeders), with the precious contribution of the Region, the Province, the Mountain Community and the municipalities of Badia Tedalda and especially of Sestino.
Among other prominent presences at the ancient Fiera del Ranco, the provincial councilor for agriculture sig. Cutini Andrea who with renewed enthusiasm has repeatedly shown the intention to make investments for this event, starting from the restructuring and / or better reconversion of the buildings, to more efficient and rational structures from the architectural and energy point of view, Mr. Marcello Minozzi Councilor for Agriculture of the Valtiberina Mountain Community and the mayors of the host municipalities. Over two hundred items on display, with breeders from all over central Italy. The most awaited phase, like every year, is that of the calves and heifers. Industry insiders, especially manufacturers, see their hammer beats quickly realized. Profitable operation that sometimes allows to raise the traditional market prices. About twenty breeders with selected leaders have made themselves available to perform small demonstrations, attracting a large audience that for years consolidates the presences, increasingly formed, fortunately, by young people and groups of schoolchildren who grasp the initiative as a method of outdoor study. It is essential that there is a generational change, which brings young people closer to the agricultural world and more generally to productive activities related to the use of land, a sector in which the employed are still of advanced age.
