Medieval Bridge

Medieval Bridge
Formerly it was built in wood, the first plant dates back to Roman times, it was at the time the second bridge in the Marecchia Valley after that of Tiberio in Rimini. It was repeatedly rebuilt or remodeled, the last one in 1790, but retains its medieval structure. The Ponte Vecchio of Casteldelci crosses the river Senatello and in ancient times it was the only access route to the town from the valley below. It is without a doubt a small jewel that blends with the river landscape and the arenaceous outcrops that characterize the area. In the last few years, however, it has deteriorated considerably and risks serious structural damage if it does not intervene quickly with conservative and structural interventions.
