Parco Delle Rimembranze "The Great Rose"

The park was recreated about 10 years ago, on the ashes of the pre-existing one of 1930, in a state of neglect. The park of remembrance "the great rose" was born to celebrate the 50th year of the Italian constitution, in memory of the missing of all wars. Built in the market town of Casteldelci, in a small square with a small wood of horse chestnuts, and where there are also the remains of a small chapel, in memory of the monastery that stood nearby, here the children of the school "Maria Gabrielli "as part of the" cenotaph "(empty tomb) project, affixed to the trunks of the trees terracotta plaques in memory. Now there is also a wrought iron plaque with the names of the soldiers dead or missing during the two world wars and in the center of the square a large wrought iron rose made by the Pesaro-based sculptor Terenzio Pedini with the collaboration of the poet Tonino Guerra the inscription "in memory of the wounds of all wars".
