The lace of Sansepolcro

The lace of Sansepolcro
Sansepolcro owes to the sisters Adele and Ginna Marcelli the merit of having created, in the early twentieth century, a typical bobbin lace, locally called "trina at pins". The work was soon successful, as evidenced by the high awards, diplomas and gold medals obtained in international exhibitions of absolute prestige. The legacy of the sisters is now being carried out by the Association "the Lace in the city of Piero", with the aim of re-evaluating and diffusing the bobbin lace by conducting courses of lace and embroidery.
