Piazza Matteotti

Piazza Matteotti is the vital center of the Bidentino village. It overlooks the Bidente river and preserves interesting religious and civil buildings; among these, Palazzo Giorgi (17th century), with its beautiful park that extends into the back of the building, and the town hall (the ancient residence of the Crisolini-Malatesta) with the civic tower. The square has undergone profound changes over the centuries due to destruction due to seismic events, as evidenced by a canvas painted by an anonymous painter of '39; 600, preserved in the parish church of Santa Lucia.
