Clock Tower
The tower pre-existed in the town hall and was originally very high, also serving as a beacon for sailors.
In 1599 it was decided to reduce its height by about half and adding a baroque style bell cell.
In 1789 a wrought iron balcony was built and a niche for the terracotta statue of the Madonna del Lago, protector of Bertinoro.
In 1816 a disciplinary cell was placed under the tower, which over time became a coffee house and then the fire brigade building.
In 1934 it was restored together with the facade of the town hall and it was decided to replace the existing clock from the 17th century with the current one, also changing its position in the tower side.
The bells that still mark the time bear the date of fusion of 1516 and the emblem of the Municipality and the image of the Madonna del Lago in relief
